Sponsored by Arkansas Rehabilitation Services and the Governor's Commission on People with Disabilities

YLF is an annual, five-day conference where high school senior-aged students with disabilities learn leadership skills, have new experiences and some fun in a college-like atmosphere. It is a competitive selection process.

Well supervised by ARS and Governor's Commission staff, the students who are selected to attend learn about disability rights and the fundamentals of advocacy, experience the latest in assistive technology, and learn such life skills as writing a resumé, experiencing a job interview by role playing and more.

Delegates get a tour of the Arkansas State Capitol and meet top state officials before the annual Mentor's Luncheon.

YLF-2010 is the 12th annual conference. It’s set for July 12-16, 2010 on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Applications are available now by clicking the link at the top of this page.
